Bernard Mc Namara

After graduating in Architecture from Laval University in Quebec City in 1978, Mr. McNamara evolved mainly as independent entrepreneur. The next fifteen years, his growing expertise allowed him to manage successfully diverse professional contracts in the educational, institutional, industrial, commercial and residential fields.

Since 1980 Mr. McNamara has been a very active member of the Order of Architects of Quebec (OAQ), occupying different positions such as President of the Order (1991-1992), President of the Professional Responsibility Insurance Fund (1995-1999), and still today acting as a Member of the Bureau (board) of the OAQ.

In the early 90's, Mr. McNamara began taking a particular interest in low-cost housing further to his participation in trade missions abroad. As a personal and also professional challenge, he decided to design different building systems of low cost and easy to build for developing countries.

In 1995 he founded Digigraph Systems to commercialize his new construction techniques and worked in collaboration with the Centre de recherche industrielle du Québec (CRIQ) and the National Research Council Canada (NRC) to test his first building system.

Mr. McNamara holds the worldwide marketing rights for all patents and licenses of the construction systems he invented.
